A three time Grammy nominated recording engineer/producer and audio educator, Jay Henry has worked for more than 35 years with major recording artists and labels. Credited with more than 80 gold and platinum albums and awards, his work includes albums for Universal, MCA, Warner Bros., Columbia, CBS, Epic, Def Jam, Capitol, and Arista.
He has worked on projects with Prince, Living Colour,
LL Cool J, Heavy-D, Slick Rick, Teddy Riley, Miriam Makeba, Shannon, Tito Puente, Sly and Robbie, Bell Biv Devoe, Al B. Sure, Alphonse Mouzon, Larry Coryell and Public Enemy to name a few.
He has produced work product that consistently appeared in the top of the record charts (Top 200 Albums, Hot 100 Singles, R&B Albums and Singles) of Billboard Magazine.
He is a voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), and a founding member of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (LARAS). Jay remains active in the industry, as a producer/engineer, and is also involved in artist development for record labels.
